Why I'm Running

I am running for Congress because Inland Empire families deserve a leader who is committed to delivering meaningful results, not empty promises.

I understand the challenges faced by families across San Bernardino County, particularly as the costs of raising a family continue to rise from food and housing to healthcare. It is clear that our communities are often overlooked, and I am determined to change that.

My focus will be on the critical issues that directly impact our community. This includes addressing the housing affordability crisis, tackling the mental health and homelessness epidemic, reducing everyday costs for working families, such as groceries and prescription drugs, protecting women's rights, advocating for immigration reform bill that would provide a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants while bringing families together rather than tearing them apart.

Together, we can work towards a future where everyone has the support and resources they need to thrive.

I'm Not a Man of Words, but a Man of Action. I'm also not a politician. I'm a community leader who shows up.

A LIFELONG DEDICATION TO SERVICE

Eugene Weems was raised by his grandmother, Aldine Weems, who instilled in him a strong commitment to community service. She co-founded, directed, and managed the non-profit organization Operation Life from 1972 until 1990. Throughout his life, Weems has been dedicated to public service.

Eugene Weems earned an Associate in Arts degree in American Studies from Coastline Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication from California Coast University.
